Mark Hunts

Recently, the appearance of fiendish monsters has increased due to the tumult caused by the rise and fall of the gods. Magicks long thought lost were freed, and some beasts fed upon these energies until they became part of the Mist that bleeds from areas of incredible magick. To combat this, the Mark Hunters have finally banded together under the guidance of a moogle named Montblanc who claims to be a descendent of the first Mark Hunter. He has set up shop in the Adventurer's Academy, answering questions and selling his rare nethicite crystals to those who are willing to take up the hunt for these fell beasts.

Throughout Ivalice, people are beginning to request the assistance of Mark Hunters to make their lives easier. Notice Boards are being set up in every major city where petitioners can post up their bills and wanted ads. However, as in all endevors, there is a monetary cost (the nethicite) and great bodily risk involved (many Marks are not to be trifled with).

As each city begins to combat the threats it faces from these enraged fiends, Notice Boards will surely appear in short order. No kingdom is prepared to contend with such fierce monsters so quickly after the rise of the gods and the decimation and revival of Ivalice. Therefore, keep an eye out for calls to action from the regents of each Homeland as they begin to request aid.
